Michelin bib gourmand deserve place in Phuket. Their yellow curry tastes coconut and sour, mostly has the genuine spiciness of Thai food. All pricing is very reasonable even though they got Bib gourmand. All those shameless restaurants in Old phuket has to learn from here. This place started from a very small stall. When it's raining, the roof was leaking. Still they keep the name, Naam Yoi. Their foods taste authentic southern Thai food. You can find how Thai + Malay + Chinese mixed chaotic but making harmony in their taste. Their shrimp dipping was interesting. Kapi(shrimp paste)+powdered dried shrimp+shrimp meat was something you can find only from Phuket I guess. Eating with some boiled veges and herbs was interesting experience. The most impressive part was their curry. All the other restaurants in the town only tasted like coconut milk but this place had the sour taste something you should feel from the southern Thai curry. If you are looking for authentic Phuket foods experience + Bib gourmand experience, Naam Yoi should be your place.

I ordered four dishes in total, and to be honest, none of them suited my taste. The deep-fried soft-shell crab with garlic was extremely greasy, and the pla ching chang chili paste was way too spicy — you can see it clearly from the photo. The stir-fried shrimp paste dish was overly salty, and the stuffed squid soup wasn’t fresh at all. It was obvious that the ingredients used were not fresh. This was my first time dining here, and I don’t think I’ll be coming back. I’m sharing this review for your improvement. Oh, and in the restroom, there should also be hand gel available. Thank you!

The local food restaurant in the Phuket city. If you want to go in weekend, I would like to recommend to come early before noon. The most delicious menu for me is “Moo Hong”. And the staffs in this restaurant are very kind and humble. Really love it.

Food was 10/10 Amazing authentic Southern taste. Every taste was super saturated and intense. We went on a weekend evening, we were able to get the last parking spot in their lot with a wait of 2 groups ahead of us. Food was very delicious but extremely slow. I think because it was quite busy that evening but I wish they can manage to get a little more efficient since they’re quite popular. Kua Kling was extremely spicy, even for a spicy lover native Thai like me. Just thread with your own caution. The staffs already let us know it will be very spicy, I appreciate the heads up! No AC but the fan was able to keep us breezy during the rainy wind.
